If He Only Had A Brain

Last night I was in the kitchen with Zachary and Rachelle. Zach was doing the dishes, Rachelle was cleaning the counters and I was cooking two separate meals. A friend was having a baby and I was bringing her family dinner. Tony thought what I was cooking the family was not nice enough, so I ended up making two different meals.
Ethan was being a pill, getting into the dishwasher, hugging my leg crying wanting to be picked up (I was frying and didn't want him to get burned from a pop) and getting into the trash.
I asked Zach to take Ethan upstairs to Tony so he could watch him until we were done.
Tony sent the baby back downstairs with a message for me. He told Zach to tell me he wouldn't watch the baby and for me to "DO MY JOB!"
Ummm right.

I bet those of you who know me know that went over about as good as a fart in church. Stupid man. What was he thinking?
Still not talking to him!

Read comment number 13 it was an unlucky number. Tony

Are you sure Zach got the message right? That doesn't sound like something a father of 10 would say. What was his job at the time? Was he working? Wendell knows that if he is not at work, or working from home, his job and my job are the same. His job is the house and kids. Why should one work 8 hours a day and the other 24?

Oh, no he di-n't! He has been married to a Proffitt woman for how many years? Just make sure the scars are not visible. I think this is a case of justifiable sex withholding!

Hmmmm... Doesn't he know that revenge WILL be exacted. Tony, we have to assume that that was a mental lapse. Proffitt women bristle quickly at that chauvenist stuff.

Is Tony into self-inflicted pain lately. I hate that attitude. Brent tried to tell me on Sunday that he had been serving all day and that he needed a break and wouldn't be able to help me. Hmmm....He sure looked like he was having a rough time up there on the stand while I was wrestling with the kids in the pew. I just keep telling myself that there will be payback when the kids are all grown and I finally get a break.

OK now you are going to get the full story. I was upstairs in the bathroom working on Hannahs hair for lice. I was applying lice shampoo to Hannah's and Zachary drops Ethan on the floor snd says mom say that you have to watch him. I said tell Mom to do her job. Zachary said ," That's going to go over good" and I said, "tell her Ethan can't be up here when I am doing this" Zachary went down and told her "Dad said do your job"
what came next can not be repeated... it was ugly. I tried to explain ,but the Lauri was very upset. I wanted Lauri to get a kid to help and I was wrong for saying it the way I did, but I never got a chance to explain it. It was too late... So now you know and you can say what you want I wasn't trying to be disrepectful I was upset Ethan was being dropped on me in that situation and I what I said was wrong.

I know it can be very frustrating to try to make dinner with a baby hanging on you!! Sorry this turned out to be an ugly situation. Hope you were blessed for making dinner for another family.

I'm glad Tony left his side of the story, I feel both of your pain. And maybe Zach deserve a pinch on his cheeks for letting it get lost in translation
