52 Blessings Project ~ Week 32

This Week I am Grateful For~ A Clean House!

I was a little irked with how messy my house was getting and the fact that I was running the kids all around and yet they didn't want to help out by doing their jobs. Well Tony had promised that this weekend everyone would work together and bust the house out. I was a little skeptical but to my delight they did it!

Tony and Rachelle pulled all the clothes out of the laundry room and sorted them and cleaned the laundry room. Zachary cleaned out my downstairs closet. I keep my holiday stuff in it and the girls keep some toys in it but people have been putting junk in it and you couldn't even see the floor of it. It was something that drove me crazy!!

Rachelle did the bathrooms, and Hannah did the office. I worked on the kitchen, and laundry.

Today Zachary decided to finish what we started and he cleaned the toy room! It looks fantastic. I feel so much better when my house is clean. It brings me a peaceful feeling. When I am feeling overwhelmed having a messy house really, really stresses me out.

When I woke up today, I went into the kitchen and saw a clean sink with my towel on the counter to wipe the sink out whenever I used it ( a flylady thing) It is so strange how happy that made me to see it clean! It actually motivated me to keep up on it all day. I have been picking up and doing laundry. I finally feel as if I can do it again!

What a blessing my husband and kids have given me. Not only a clean house but a feeling of peace as I start my week and for that I am very grateful!

Wow! You're kitchen looks amazing! I know how you feel. There is something about a really messy house that makes you feel like a mess inside. I am so happy they stepped up and worked together. That's a wonderful blessing!

Ugh. I mean, wow. My house is the complete antithes of this after two weeks of travel. Must. Get. On. The. Ball.

P.S. Can't believe Rachelle is starting high school!

How nice. I have given up on a clean house. Why is it always so hard? It is a blessing to have so much help. With big families, it is impossible to keep a clean house if everyone doesn't pitch in.

what a awesome blessing! love it when everyone works together to get it done! what takes the mom all week alone takes the whole family a day! it kills me! your family rocks! wish mine would.

My favorite thing is Inez and Alma, my two wonderful cleaning ladies. I can't live without them. The amazing thing to me that Jim and I can mess up a house so much that they are needed every week. I wish I could blame it on Jim but I finally figured out I am a mess-it-up, clean-it-up person. I have never been a clean-as-you-go person. The biggest problem with that is the messing up is easy and then before the clean it up gets there something much more interesting comes along.

Yay! We've got to do this before school starts. We all love our home when it's clean. Enjoy it while it lasts!

Can your children please come over to my house and give my children(and husband, frankly) lessons? It would be so nice if they would just realize that they would have a wayyyy happier mother if they would just help keep the house cleaner!

Don't you love the small moments that make you have a sigh of relief. Sometimes it seems too far and few between. For me a messy house seems to create a foggy head. Keep the flylady going, you go.
