Yeah...totally materialistic blessing this week. I am feeling emotionally and physically drained lately. And sometimes it's hard for me to think of the blessings in my life. Which is exactly why I participate in the blessing project. So when I am having a hard time like I am now then the blessing project forces me to take some time and think of the good I have been blessed with. And I am picking something I love that makes me happy! Simple as that!
For My birthday this year Tony got me a new camera and I love it! I am always jealous of the fabulous pictures I see on other people's blog. I want mine to look that fab too. Waaa...But I am hopeful with my new camera I can achieve better pictures! I still don't have a clue what I am doing, and I am trying to figure it out.I want the colors on my pictures to look brighter! And I DID manage to get a few that way! Funny thing is I don't have a clue what I did! HA! I definitely need to read up on how to take better pictures.
Here is one of the pictures I took with my new camera. I love the how bright the colors are. It's exactly the kind of pictures I want to take.
There is something wonderful about being able to look back at pictures of my children and remembering that special day, or remember how they were as they were younger. I love being able to capture our lives and look back. So I plan to learn all about my camera and figure out how to take fantastic pictures of my little animals and I'm having fun in the process. And for that I am very grateful!

i love cameras, i'm almost ready for an upgrade. we can't afford those fancy cameras but maybe one day. you should look into taking some digital photography classes. just to get the basics and maybe learn some new tricks to make your pictures even more fabulous. community colleges/centers are good places to look for those and they aren't to pricey.
WOW! That is really a great shot! YOu're right, the colors are amazing! I will stick to my cheapo point and shoot though. Those other cameras are too complicated for my mangled brain. lol

Check out local camera stores in addition to your local JC. Lots will offer free or inexpensive classes on how to use your specific camera.
Can't tell by looking, but if you have a Nikon like mine, they have a phenomenal web site with lots of tips and tricks, and you can sign up and get notified about classes locally.
Have fun with it. Dale is a fantastic photographer, but takes about 10 shots for every perfect one. When we did our Mediterranian cruise, he took over 4,000 pictures in 10 days. Got some great shots, but also some crummy ones. Glad they were digital. You don't need to worry about cost of processing, so go for it!
Love the pictues of the painted faces. Your family always looks like you're having such fun!
Love you!
Picasa baby - it's free and easy and you can edit your pictures with a few clicks. And it's from google so it's safe. I recommend it to e.v.e.r.y.o.n.e.!!!! Download it now. www.picasa.com plus it will pull all your pictures off your computer and organize them - it's great! Call me and I can help you with it.
Oh and I did notice that your pictures were brighter and crisper!! Great job and what a nice hubby to get you such an awesome gift.
